Chelsea are reportedly keen on signing Inter Milan defender Nicolas Burdisso before the transfer window closes.
The Daily Mail reports that the Blues are keen on signing Burdisso as they are not prepared to pay the £27million that Benfica demand for Brazil defender David Luiz, who has long been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge.
Inter Milan technical director Marco Branca has confirmed there has been interest in 29-year-old Burdisso from England.
Branca said: “I can confirm that Burdisso has many admirers in England.”
Chelsea are looking to bring in a new centre-back following Ricardo Carvalho’s move to Real Madrid earlier this month.
