According to a recent report from The Times, Chelsea are close to agreeing a deal to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The belief is that Marcos Alonso will make the move over to the Nou Camp as part of the deal, with a two-year agreement in place alongside an option for an additional 12 months.
Aubameyang didn’t exactly leave English football in the best of ways upon his exit from Arsenal and, as you can imagine, the fans probably won’t welcome him back with open arms to the Emirates if he goes through with a move to their rivals.
Still, Chelsea are in desperate need of a natural goalscorer and the veteran fits into that category.
He still seems to have a lot left in the tank, he doesn’t appear to be gelling quite as well with Barca as many had hoped, and he’s the kind of proven commodity that you just can’t manufacture at this level.
