Chelsea are set to sign Willy Caballero on a free transfer, according to ESPN.
The thirty-five year old is without a club following his release by Manchester City, and is set to fill the gap left at Stamford Bridge by Asmir Begovic, who has joined Bournemouth.
Cabellero had been offered a one year deal to stay at the Etihad Stadium while he also had offers to return to Spain, having previously played for Elche and Malaga.
During his time with Manchester City, Caballero played forty-seven times in all competitions with the majority of his game time coming last season.
He played seventeen times in the league last season while he was an ever present as the Citizens won the League Cup in 2016, saving three penalties in the final victory over Liverpool.
Despite winning two caps for their Under 20 side back in 2001, the thirty-five year old has never made a senior appearance for Argentina.
