Chelsea confident over Haaland

According to a recent report from ESPN, Chelsea are confident they can win the race to sign Borussia Dortmund forward Erling Haaland.

For the longest time it’s seemed as if one of the two Manchester clubs, or perhaps one of Barca and Real Madrid, would be leading the race to sign him. While there’s a good chance that may still be the case, the Blues aren’t giving up on their own hopes of getting him to sign on the dotted line.

The youngster is easily one of the most exciting strikers in world football and absolutely nobody out there is denying that. However, Dortmund are pretty eager to keep hold of him, even if that doesn’t seem particularly realistic right now.

Chelsea have the money necessary to push a deal like this through. Alas, while the many may be there, the desire from Haaland isn’t at the level it needs to be.
