According to Tuttosport, the possible introduction of Maurizio Sarri as Chelsea‘s new manager could open the door for a possible move for Gonzalo Higuain. The Argentine striker is currently in Russia for the FIFA World Cup, but when he returns, many questions will be asked of the 30-year-old’s future – as is usually the case with the forward. Higuain, who has played for River Plate, Real Madrid, Napoli and now Juve, is considered to be one of the finest strikers currently playing in Europe.
The move, however, would depend on whether or not Sarri, who has a history with Higuain, becomes the Blues’ new manager. The switch could well involve an exchange deal of sorts with Alvaro Morata being listed as someone who could go in the opposite direction, which makes sense, given that the Spaniard has really struggled to find his footing in the Premier League after an initially promising start to life at Stamford Bridge.
