Chelsea eager to keep Loftus-Cheek

According to Sky Sports, Chelsea are very eager to keep hold of Ruben Loftus-Cheek in the wake of speculation over his future. The 22-year-old made quite the impression at the 2018 FIFA World Cup with England, establishing himself as one of the most promising young midfielders in the country.

Clubs from Spain, France and Germany are all said to be interested in RLC, with Kovacic, Barkley and Jorginho all being prioritised over him. Loftus-Cheek always seems to work well under pressure when people don’t give him a chance, and that could wind up being his fate once again this season.

With the English summer transfer window being closed he can only go abroad between now and the end of the month, and given the many options at hand, it seems likely that his future lies elsewhere as opposed to at Stamford Bridge where the midfield scene is absolutely stacked right now.
