Chelsea have contacted Leicester City to enquire about the possibility of signing Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, according to The Athletic. The Blues have apparently already sent an offer for his services. The 25-year-old midfielder was reportedly set to join Brighton and Hove Albion as the Seagulls and the Foxes reached an agreement, but he is now only interested in joining Chelsea if he is to leave the King Power Stadium.
Dewsbury-Hall is under contract with Leicester until 2027, but newly appointed Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca sees him as a good fit for the style of football he intends to implement at Stamford Bridge.
Having risen through the academy ranks at Leicester, Dewsbury-Hall started 41 of the 46 matches the Foxes played in the Championship in 2023/24 as they fought their way back to the Premier League, scoring 12 goals and producing 14 assists along the way. He mostly played in the middle of the park, but he is perfectly capable of doing a good job on the flanks as well.
