Chelsea eye RB Leipzig striker Lois Openda

Chelsea are interested in signing Lois Openda from RB Leipzig in the summer transfer window, according to TEAMtalk. The report has claimed that the Blues as well as their new manager Enzo Maresca think that Openda would be an ideal signing for the club.

TEAMtalk has noted that a bid of £70m will trigger a move in summer 2025 from RB Leipzig, but Chelsea could try to make a big offer this summer and get the deal done. There are two other top clubs in the Premier League and La Liga who are keen on Openda, so Chelsea are keen to get a deal done soon. 

Openda made 33 starts and one substitute appearance in the Bundesliga last season. He scored 24 goals and gave seven assists in those games. The 24-year-old Belgium international striker scored four goals in seven starts and one substitute appearance in the UEFA Champions League last season.
