Chelsea eyeing Calhanoglu
Daily Mail is reporting that Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is considering a summer bid for Hamburg SV starlet Hakan Calhanoglu.
It is no secret the Portuguese manager is far from satisfied with his current options up front and he is keen to lure the Turkish winger to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea are likely to face a stiff competition for the player’s signature from the likes of Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Bayer Leverkusen and few more top clubs, but that is unlikely to put them off from pursuing the youngster.
Hakan Calhanoglu has been the only bright spot in an otherwise disappointing campaign for Hamburg, having bagged 10 goals in 30 Bundesliga outings.
And while the 20-year-old recently extended his deal with HSV, the fact the Red Shorts are on the verge of getting relegated could see him change his mind about staying.
Hakan Calhanoglu is predicted a bright future in the game and he was handed his Turkey debut in September 2013.
Ajax to bid for Leverkusen starlet
Ajax are hot on the trail of Bayer Leverkusen striker Arkadiusz Milik, Voetbal International has learned.
The Amsterdammers have already agreed to sign talented forward Richairo Zivkovic from Groningen, but they plan to sign at least another striker.
According to Voetbal International, Ajax are set to launch an assault on Bayer Leverkusen forward Arkadiusz Milik.
The 20-year-old joined die Werkself in January 2013, but has so far made just six substitute appearances in Bundesliga.
He has shown some promise during a loan spell with Augsburg, having scored 2 goals in 18 league outings for the club.
Milik’s parent club Bayer Leverkusen will attempt to ward off challenge from Wolfsburg and Gladbach in order to secure Champions League qualification, with die Werkself priced at 2/5 to achieve a top 4 finish.
Aaron Hunt denies Besiktas agreement
Werder Bremen midfielder Aaron Hunt has moved to deny reports he has already agreed to join Besiktas in the summer transfer window.
The highly rated footballer will be out of contract in the summer and he has decided to look for a new adventure.
Hunt has received a lucrative offer from Besiktas, reportedly worth around €2 million per season, but he denies an agreement has been reached.
“Of course Besiktas would be easier for my wife than, say, Russia. She would be able to settle well as she speaks the language,” Hunt was quoted as saying in Bild.
“But I have not promised anything to Besiktas, and I am unlikely to go there. (Transfer) Abroad continues to be very likely. But I have not decided yet.”
Aaron Hunt, 27, will receive a Fair Play Award ahead of the league clash with Hertha, which is going to be his final game for Werder in front of home fans.
The attacking midfielder has spent his entire career at Weserstadion, making 203 Bundesliga appearances and scoring 43 goals.
