Premier League champions Chelsea are weighing up summer bid for Southampton full-back Cedric Soares, according to London Evening Standard.
It is no secret that Antonio Conte is in the market for a right-sided defender and he appears to have turned his attention towards the Portugal international after missing out on Danilo Luiz da Silva.
The Blues have so far recruited Antonio Rudiger, Alvaro Morata, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Willy Caballero, but they also plan to reinforce full-back positions.
Cedric Soares did well to prove his worth after joining Southampton from Sporting CP, making 61 appearances and producing 5 assists in the process.
The 25-year-old made four outings for Portugal as the Selecao went on to claim the Euro 2016 trophy.
Southampton are adamant they will not be selling Cedric this summer, but a big money offer could change their minds.
