Premier League holders Chelsea are hot on the trail of Benfica starlet Goncalo Guedes, O Jogo has learned.
The Blues have had the youngster watched on no fewer than five occasions this season and their scouts have been impressed with the 18 year old winger.
This is enough to suggest that Chelsea could soon step up their interest in the player who has seen his stock rise a great deal this season.
While starring for club’s reserve side in the second division, Guedes had only made five substitute appearances in the Primeira Liga last term, but he has done much better in the 2015/2016 campaign.
Guedes impressed to score 3 goals in 8 league outings and it would appear as though he has already nailed down a regular starting berth.
Following his very good showings for Benfica this term, Guedes has earned his first call-up to the Portugal national team.
