Chelsea eyeing Jerome Boateng

Premier League champions Chelsea are weighing up move for Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng, according to Sky Sports.

The Blues are determined to reinforce their back line in the summer transfer window, but they are finding it hard to agree deals for top targets Leonardo Bonucci and Virgil van Dijk.

As a result, Chelsea appear to have turned their attention towards Bayern Munich stopper Jerome Boateng.

The Blues have established initial contact with the Bavarians, but the Bundesliga side are famous for refusing to negotiate the sale of their first team regulars, meaning Chelsea may have to look elsewhere.

Boateng, who has a deal until June 2021 at Allianz Arena, has spent last six years with Bayern, making 137 Bundesliga appearances.
