Chelsea eyeing Serie A starlet

Premier League leaders Chelsea are hot on the trail of Fiorentina forward Federico Bernardeschi, the Daily Express can reveal.

The Blues have been absolutely brilliant of late, winning six straight Premier League matches without conceding, but manager Antonio Conte clearly wants to further strengthen his ranks.

According to the Daily Express, the former Italy boss has set his sights on Fiorentina hotshot Federico Bernardeschi, who has been in scintillating form this season.

The same source has suggested that the 22-year-old would be delighted to work with Conte at Stamford Bridge and he will reportedly request to be allowed to join the Blues.

Bernardeschi should arrive as a replacement for Brazilian Oscar, who is almost certain to leave in the January window, but it remains to be seen whether the two clubs will be able to find an agreement.

The Italy international has managed 6 goals and 2 assists in 12 Serie A fixtures this season, developing into key player for Viola.
