Chelsea eyeing summer move for Seamus Coleman

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is ready to make a £20m summer move for Everton defender Seamus Coleman, according to the Mail Online.

Since returning to Goodison Park from a successful loan spell with Blackpool in 2010, the Republic of Ireland international has established himself as one of the best full-backs in the English top flight.

He has racked up over one hundred and fifty appearances in all competitions for the Merseyside club while he has been capped twenty times for his country, catching the eye of some of the Premier League’s big hitters in the process, and Chelsea are set to lodge a bid at the end of the season.

Roberto Martinez has already identified a possible replacement in Barcelona’s Martin Montoya, while Rhys Bennet of Rochdale is another option.

Everton beat West Ham United on Saturday to move within two points of the top four, and they are now priced at 9/1 to finish the season in the Champions League qualification places.
