Chelsea eyeing up unhappy Toure

The Metro is suggesting that Chelsea have made Yaya Toure a transfer target in the summer after news that he wasn’t happy with his current contract at Manchester City.

The Ivorian has been involved in a lot of speculation over the last few days, with some reports suggesting he was ready to leave the Etihad Stadium if he wasn’t offered a contract extension in the next week or so.

Toure’s current deal runs until 2015, but as we know, that isn’t a great deal of time in football and the midfielder wants a bit more stability.

There are also some reports saying he is not on the best terms with his teammates, so a move out of the English premier League Champions is looking increasingly likely.

As we know, Chelsea are one of few clubs that could afford a player like Toure and if they feel as though he is worth splashing the cash on, this deal could go through.

The former Barcelona man clearly loves playing in England, but it might be that he is ready to leave Manchester for the capital of the country.

It would be a slight shock if it happens, but in football, nothing is ever too much of a surprise.
