Chelsea are keen on signing Leicester City forward Jamie Vardy, according to the Mirror.
The Premier League champions are keen on signing a new striker with Radamel Falcao currently injured and Loic Remy’s future at Stamford Bridge under question.
Remy could even be used as a makeweight in a deal to see Vardy move to Stamford Bridge, but the Foxes are unlikely to lose the England international without a fight as they have a serious chance of winning the title.
Since moving to the KP Stadium from Fleetwood Town, the twenty-nine year old has scored forty-two times in one hundred and thirty-one appearances, sixteen of which have come in the league this season.
Having broken the record for scoring in consecutive games in the top flight earlier this season, Vardy recently went seven games without netting but got on the score sheet in Saturday’s 3-0 win over Stoke City.
