Chelsea forward Kai Havertz about to undergo Arsenal medical

Arsenal are on the verge of signing Kai Havertz from London and Premier League rivals Chelsea in the summer transfer window, according to The London Evening Standard. The report has claimed that the Gunners are preparing for a medical for the 24-year-old, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a forward, this week.

The Gunners will reportedly pay the Blues an initial transfer fee of £62 million for Havertz, who has already personal terms with the North London club. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is reportedly confident that he can unlock the potential of the Germany international, who won the UEFA Champions League with Chelsea in 2021.

Havertz made 30 starts and five substitute appearances in the Premier League for Chelsea last season, scoring seven goals and providing one assist in the process. The German star made seven starts and three substitute appearances in the UEFA Champions League for the Blues last campaign, scoring two goals in the process.
