Chelsea give Rudiger an ultimatum

According to a recent report from Daily Mirror, Chelsea have given defender Antonio Rudiger an ultimatum as the transfer window deadline approaches.

Rudiger has not been at the forefront of Frank Lampard’s mind in recent weeks despite the Blues’ poor start to the new Premier League season. The belief is that the ultimatum in question will see him either sign a contract extension or remain out in the cold, with West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur both showing interest as of late.

Chelsea’s transfer window has been the definition of hectic but even with that being the case, many fans were hoping that Rudiger would still be given a chance to shine.

Based on recent evidence it doesn’t seem like that’s going to be the case but if he does leave, he’ll have to do it fast as the deadline will be upon us sooner than most fans care to admit.
