Chelsea go after Milinkovic-Savic

According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Chelsea have shown interest in signing Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. The Serbian has been heavily linked to Manchester United as of late, but as was the case with Jorginho, it seems as if there’s an increasing likelihood of the Blues getting in the way of Jose Mourinho’s plans once again. Chelsea seem to have a renewed sense of focus in the wake of Antonio Conte’s departure and Maurizio Sarri’s arrival, but the question remains as to how long the honeymoon period will last.

Milinkovic-Savic has been with Lazio for three years now and at the age of just 23, it seems as if the midfielder has plenty more time left to develop as he continues to impress both domestically and internationally with Serbia. The latter of which, in fact, we were able to see first hand in recent weeks as he played in all three of his country’s group stage games at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
