Chelsea have bid for Samu Omorodion rejected

Chelsea are interested in signing Samu Omorodion from Atletico Madrid in the summer transfer window, according to The Athletic. The report has claimed that the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners have made a bid for the striker, but La Liga club Atletico have turned it down.

The Athletic has reported that Chelsea have offered Atletico a transfer fee of €32.5million (£27.4m) plus add-ons for Omorodion. The former La Liga winners have rejected it. It remains to be seen if Chelsea go back in for the 20-year-old Spain international forward.

Omorodion joined Atletico from Granada in the summer of 2023. Just days later he moved to Deportivo Alaves on loan for the 2023-24 campaign. The 20-year-old made 21 starts and 13 substitute appearances in La Liga for Alaves last season. He scored eight goals and provided one assist in those games. The striker also scored one goal in one La Liga match for Granada last season.
