Chelsea are currently on the short winter break in Premier League, but right afterwards, they will be set to meet Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Bayern Munich in quick succession and one of the problems they might have in those games could be in goal. In recent weeks, Frank Lampard has shown that he is not completely trusting Kepa Arrizabalaga, as the Spaniard has been benched and dropped by Willy Caballero after a succession of poor performances.
Caballero, though, is not a long-term option and Chelsea could be in for a goalkeeper next summer. According to the Express, the Blues have identified four possible targets for Lampard at Stamford Bridge. The first option is Andre Onana from Ajax, who has done incredibly well in the past 18 months, but there are other options too.
There is Nick Pope of Burnley, Crystal Palace’s Vicente Guaita and Lille’s Mike Maignan. However, of all of those, Onana could seem as the most realistic choice.
