Chelsea are interested in signing Robert Lewandowski from Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window, according to Fichajes. The report has claimed that although the Poland international striker has a verbal agreement with Barcelona, the La Liga club are unable to meet Bayern’s demand yet.
Former UEFA Champions League winners Chelsea are also set to send Belgium international striker Romelu Lukaku to his former club Inter Milan on a loan deal, which means that head coach Thomas Tuchel will need to sign a replacement. Bayern star Lewandowski could be that replacement.
Lewandowski scored 35 goals and gave three assists in 34 Bundesliga appearances for Bayern last season. During the 2020-21 campaign, the 33-year-old Poland international striker scored 41 goals and provided seven assists in 28 league starts for the Bavarian giants.
