Premier League giants Chelsea are reportedly interested in Italy and Inter Milan winger Antonio Candreva. According to the Express the Blues have sent scouts to watch the 30-year old in recent weeks, and manager Antonio Conte is keen on a reunion with the player, who he managed during his time in charge of the Italian national side.
Candreva has been a hugely versatile player during his career, playing as both a central attacking oriented midfielder as well as a more traditional winger. The Italy international really established himself during his five-year spell at Lazio, scoring 45 goals in all competitions for the club.
His exploits in Rome earned him a move to Inter Milan, and Candreva bagged six goals and ten assists in his first season in the famous shirt. In this campaign he is yet to find the back of the net, but he has already contributed four assists in 12 Serie A games.
While the winger does not represent a long term option for Chelsea he would certainly inject some talent that might help the London side catch Manchester City, who currently lead the Blues by nine points.
