According to a recent report from Mundo Deportivo, Chelsea are looking into the possibility of trying to sign Real Madrid forward Luka Jovic. The 22-year-old signed for the Spanish giants last summer for a huge fee of £55 million, but with just two goals to his name during his stay at the Bernabeu, it certainly feels like he’s destined to leave.
The Blues have been urged by many of their fans to focus their attention on the defensive issues they’ve faced all season long, but it does appear as if they’re hell-bent on adding more attacking stars to their ranks – even after bringing in RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner.
Jovic quite clearly needs to change something up if he wants to reignite the flame that was his blossoming career, but if he makes the move over to Stamford Bridge, he needs to be given some assurances regarding how much time he’ll get in the first team.
