Chelsea interested in Martinez

According to a recent report from Fichajes, Chelsea are considering making an approach to sign Lautaro Martinez from Inter Milan. 

The belief is that Thomas Tuchel is eager to find a solution to the Romelu Lukaku problem that he currently has. In short, the Belgian just isn’t scoring the volume of goals required of him right now, and while he may get back on track soon it makes sense for Tuchel to think of a contingency plan.

Martinez and Lukaku spent a successful period of time together during their stint at Inter Milan and they’d be eager to link back up again in the Premier League. Of course, this would definitely open up room for questions on what the future of Timo Werner is going to be.

Chelsea have one of the most stacked squads in world football by a country mile but if they’re going to compete with England’s elite, another big option couldn’t hurt.
