Chelsea interested in PSG midfielder Marco Verratti

Chelsea are interested in signing Marco Verratti from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer transfer window, according to Fichajes. It has been reported that Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has asked the Premier League club’s board to get him the Italy international midfielder.

Tuchel works with Verratti at PSG and knows the 29-year-old fully well. The Italian midfielder moved to PSG from Pescara in the summer of 2012 and has been superb for the French club over the years. Verratti has won the Ligue 1 title seven times, and the Coupe de France and the Coupe de La Ligue on six occasions each.

PSG are unlikely to sell Verratti in the summer transfer window, unless, of course, he pushes for a move away. PSG are likely to win the Ligue 1 title this season and could also win the Champions League, and the Italian midfielder may not want to leave.
