Chelsea interested in Zakaria

According to a recent report from Bild, Chelsea are still interested in trying to sign midfielder Denis Zakaria.

The Borussia Monchengladbach star seemed destined to leave the German club over the course of the summer but after it didn’t come to fruition, the attention immediately turned towards January – and potentially even next summer.

The Blues were incredibly busy during the most recent transfer window and made a handful of changes but if this report is to be believed, Frank Lampard isn’t 100% satisfied with his squad just yet.

Manchester United and Bayern Munich are both still in the hunt to try and sign Zakaria which could serve as a problem for Chelsea, but when you look at the money they’ve already spent in the last few months, it seems plausible to think that they would be willing to pay whatever it takes to ensure Zakaria ends up at Stamford Bridge sooner rather than later.
