Chelsea join Berahino race

Chelsea are the latest side to be linked with a move for West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino, according to the Express.

Manager Guus Hiddink is on the lookout for a new forward with summer loan signing Radamel Falcao struggling with injury and Loic Remy’s future in doubt, and Berahino is one of a number of the Dutchman’s targets.

Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool have also been linked with a move for the Baggies forward, who once again looks set to leave the Hawthorns with the transfer window open.

The twenty-two-year-old is closing in on one hundred appearances for the Midlands club, while his goal in Saturday’s 2-2 FA Cup third round draw with Championship strugglers Bristol City was his thirty-third in all competitions.

Other forwards being considered by Hiddink include AC Milan’s Carlos Bacca, Jamie Vardy of Leicester City and former Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur man Emmanuel Adebayor.
