Chelsea join PSG in Kante chase

Chelsea are keen to pip Paris Saint Germain in the race to sign Leicester City star N’Golo Kante, according to the Mirror.

The London club are ready to more than treble the France international’s wages as they prepare for a first season under new manager Antonio Conte.

The twenty-five year old has a £20m release clause in his contract, and recently crowned Premier League champions Leicester are already making plans for his departure with Nice’s Nampalys Mendy lined up as a a replacement.

Since arriving at the King Power Stadium twelve months ago, Kante has racked up forty appearances for the Foxes in all competitions, with his one and only goal for the club coming a 2-1 win over Watford in November while he was one of three players from Claudio Ranieri’s side to be named in the 2015-16 PFA Team of the Year.
