Premier League giants Chelsea appear to have joined the race for FC Porto defender Eliaquim Mangala, reports L’Equipe.
According to the same source, incoming Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is hoping to lure the Frenchman to Stamford Bridge, although that could prove to be a very difficult task.
Mangala is not only followed by Monaco, Dortmund, Milan and Manchester United, but he is reportedly valued at €35 million.
Having already earned €70 million from the sales of Joao Moutinho and James Rodriguez, Porto are under no pressure to sell, which could made it very difficult for interested clubs to reach an agreement with the Dragons.
Eliaquim Mangala has only made 30 league appearances for Porto since arriving from Standard Liege, but he seems to have done enough to impress the visiting scouts.
The 22-year-old is widely regarded as one of the most talented defenders in world football and it is only a matter of time before he leaves Estadio do Dragao.
