The Times has suggested that Premier League holders Chelsea are eyeing a summer move for Roma playmaker Miralem Pjanic.
The Bosnian midfielder is widely regarded as one of Europe’s hottest commodities, and he has been on the radar of quite a few top clubs.
The latest reports claim that Chelsea are ready to join the chase as well, with soon-to-be new manager Antonio Conte a big fan of the AS Roma star.
The Blues would be prepared to offer around €40 million for Pjanic, and it remains to be seen whether the Giallorossi will entertain proposals next summer.
Much will depend on whether Roma can clinch Champions League qualification, seeing that the Bosnian would probably decide to leave if the Giallorossi miss out on a top 3 finish in Italian Serie A.
Miralem Pjanic, 25, has been one of club’s star performers ever since he joined from Lyon, and has so far managed 26 goals and 38 assists in 150 Serie A outings.
