Chelsea are weighing up a summer bid for Everton defender John Stones, Daily Star has revealed.
With David Luiz being linked with a move away from the club and John Terry not getting any younger, chances are Jose Mourinho will enter the market for a new centre-back.
And Daily Star understands that the Special One is preparing a swoop on Everton starlet John Stones.
The 19-year-old exploded onto the biggest stage this season, making a total of 20 Premier League appearances, starting 14 of those games.
However, persuading Everton to sell their prized asset could prove to be a very difficult task, although the Blues are reportedly ready to pay up to £20 million.
They will also offer the youngster a long-term deal worth no less than £55,000 per week in an attempt to win the race for his signature.
John Stones has been a regular starter for the England Under-21 side, making seven appearances in the 2015 Euro qualifiers.
