Chelsea lead race for Coutinho

According to a recent report from AS, Chelsea are currently leading the charge to sign Philippe Coutinho. The Brazilian is currently out on loan with Bayern Munich from Barcelona, but beyond the summer transfer window, it doesn’t appear as if either of those two clubs are all too invested in the idea of keeping him on the books.

Coutinho first made a splash during his days with Liverpool, during which time he established himself as one of the most exciting players in world football.

Blues boss Frank Lampard is ready and willing to bring an abrupt end to Coutinho’s time away from the Premier League, with the aim being to help him recapture the kind of form that put him on the map in the first place.

Of course, with the uncertainty surrounding the football world right now, nobody is all too sure as to when this deal would take place.
