The Times understands that Chelsea are eyeing a move for Queens Park Rangers goalkeeper Robert Green.
The Premier League leaders are on the lookout for a new back-up goalkeeper, with current second choice Petr Cech set to call time on his eleven year spell with the club at the end of the season.
Despite Rangers’ poor position in the league, Green has impressed and was recently drafted in to the England squad for the first time in almost three years.
The 35 year old signed for QPR in the summer of 2012, and has since racked up eighty-six appearances in all competitions for the club – one of which came in the Championship play-off final victory against Derby County last May.
Whilst Chelsea are well on course to clinch the Premier League title, Chris Ramsey’s side are currently four points from safety, and can be backed at 6/1 to stay up.
