Chelsea are considering signing former Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale in the summer transfer window, according to Football Transfers. The Blues are considering bringing in a new goalkeeper and have internally discussed the prospect of making a move for the Southampton star.
Ramsdale has been on the books of Southampton since the summer of 2024 when he joined from Premier League rivals Arsenal. The England international goalkeeper was the first choice between the posts at the Gunners before David Raya usurped him. When fit and available, Ramsdale is the number one goalkeeper at Southampton, who are rooted to the foot of the Premier League table and have picked up just nine points from 27 games.
Robert Sanchez is the number one goalkeeper at Chelsea, but he has made high-profile mistakes and the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners reportedly want to move on from him. The Blues are fourth in the Premier League table at the moment with 46 points from 27 matches.
