It did not look like that at first, but now things are getting better and better for Emerson Palmieri at Chelsea. The Blues signed him while Antonio Conte was still the manager two years ago, but only in 2019 are things the way Emerson wanted.
He became a regular at left-back, with Marcos Alonso being pushed back and outside of the starting lineup and according to Gazzetta dello Sport, Emerson might get a reward for his fine performances. They report that Chelsea are set to offer him a new deal at the club.
His current contract runs through June 2022, but the Blues are already thinking about offering him a new deal, which would see him get a pay rise and another year of extension. That would keep the 25-year-old at Stamford Bridge until June 2023. If Gazzetta are to be believed, Emerson will soon sign the deal, giving him a good platform to continue improving under Frank Lampard.
