Daily Mail has suggested that Chelsea are keeping close tabs on Everton starlet Ross Barkley.
The same source has learned that the Blues will have the youngster watched when the two sides meet at Goodison Park on Saturday evening.
Ross Barkley has long been regarded as one of England’s brightest talents, but he was only recently given a chance to impress at Everton.
The midfielder started all three Premier League games this term, producing some stunning displays and scoring his first Premiership goal in the 2-2 draw with Norwich.
His starting berth is, however, in danger following the late arrivals of Gareth Barry and James McCarthy.
Chelsea continue to monitor the player’s progress with the view of luring him to Stamford Bridge at the earliest opportunity.
And while Everton will do everything they can to keep hold of Barkley for as long as possible, it is perfectly clear they would not be able to resist a big money bid from London.
