Spanish daily Marca claims Chelsea are keeping tabs on Malaga striker Salomon Rondon.
The Blues are looking to sign a replacement for Didier Drogba and the Venezuelan forward is one of the players they are interested in.
Marca reports that the Blues had the player watched in the 2014 World Cup qualifier between Venezuela and Chile.
Rondon failed to make an impact at the game as his side recorded a 2-0 defeat, but the mere fact Chelsea officials traveled to South America to watch the player in action shows they are keen.
The 22-year-old joined Malaga from Las Palmas in July 2010 and has quickly developed into an important player at La Rosaleda.
Rondon helped los Boquerones achieve a Champions League qualification by scoring 11 goals in 37 La Liga games last term.
Malaga are now keen to keep hold of their prized asset, and it would take a big money offer for the La Liga side to part ways with their star player.
