Chelsea make a move on Maurizio Sarri

La Gazzetta dello Sport understands that Premier League giants Chelsea are stepping up their efforts to recruit Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri.

Eager to replace Antonio Conte, the Blues have turned their attention to the Azzurri head coach, and they have now met with his agent Alessandro Pellegrini.

Sarri has an €8 million release clause in his contract that can be activated until 31st May and it seems that he is keen on moving to Stamford Bridge.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the manager has told asked some of his associates to start learning English, as he already speaks the language.

Sarri has again failed to lead Napoli to Serie A glory, but the mere fact that his side fought bravely against expensively assembled Juventus squad seems to have convinced Chelsea that he was the right man for the job.
