Chelsea make Werner approach

According to a recent report from Kicker, Chelsea are the first Premier League club to make a formal approach to try and sign RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner. The star German forward has been in startling form so far this season, and as we look ahead to the immediate future, it’ll be interesting to see how hard they try and keep hold of him in the midst of the uncertain coronavirus pandemic.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is reportedly very eager to keep hold of Werner, but at this moment in time, it’s not yet known whether or not that deal is still on the cards.

Even getting the transfer window open this summer is going to be an interesting process, and while everyone wants to see football return to normal, establishing the safety and overall normality of the general public and society is going to be the primary focus moving forward.
