The Guardian is reporting that Premier League giants Chelsea and Manchester City are hot on the trail of Tottenham Hotspur defender Toby Alderweireld.
The Belgian did well to kick-start his career at White Hart Lane following a disappointing spell with Atletico Madrid, and the 28-year-old is now back on the radar of top European clubs.
According to reports, Chelsea could soon make an official proposal for Alderweireld as the Blues are far from happy with recent form of Gary Cahill and David Luiz.
Manchester City, on the other hand, are also looking towards the Belgian as they look to replace injury-prone captain Vincent Kompany.
The Citizens recently splashed out on Aymeric Laporte, but Pep Guardiola reportedly plans to recruit another centre-back in the summer.
