Conor Gallagher impressed last season playing for Crystal Palace on loan from Chelsea. Now back at his parent club, he is supposed to prove to manager Thomas Tuchel that he’s mature enough to compete for a place in his team.
It feels safe to say the 22-year-old didn’t exactly pick the right way to go about it as Chelsea suffered a pre-season defeat on penalties at the hands of MLS side Charlotte FC.
