The Sun is reporting that Chelsea have emerged as the latest favourites to sign Theo Walcott in the January transfer window.
The future of Walcott is in a lot of doubt at the moment as his contract with Arsenal runs out in the summer and now the Blues believe that £15 million will be enough to lure him to Stamford Bridge in the New Year.
Rafael Benitez seems to believe that Walcott would be a great addition to the squad and would work well with Fernando Torres.
With the England internationals blistering pace, he could provide a number of chances for the Spaniard, which would help the team in the English Premier League a great deal.
However, the winger seems to be hanging out for a move in the summer as if he was a free agent, he could demand more money and a big signing on fee.
If Chelsea make a bid in January though and Arsenal accept, then he could be on his way out of the Emirates Stadium, something that is not likely to sit well with the Gunners faithful.
He may also have too much respect for Arsenal to join one of their London rivals.
There is plenty to be decided, but it is a story to keep an eye on.
