Chelsea have opened the offensive and started talks towards signing Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund in the summer, according to France Football.
Having already secured the services of Hakim Ziyech from Ajax for next season – the Morocco international will move to Stamford Bridge in the summer for €40 million plus potential €4 million in add-ons – the London Blues are keen to continue their business by bringing in one of the most sought-after youngsters of Europe right now.
Plenty of reports have already spoken about Sancho’s potential departure from the Signal Iduna Park, and a race between Chelsea and Manchester United seem to be on the cards. A few days ago it was claimed that United felt confident about it, but Chelsea obviously aren’t prepared to sit back and let that happen.
Premier League’s runaway leaders Liverpool were also reported to have held interest in the 19-year-old winger, but journalists closer to the Merseyside club have since dismissed those claims. The Reds apparently aren’t convinced they need to spend that much money (€100m+) on a single player to add to a team already pretty much complete, despite the player’s obvious quality.
