Chelsea are thinking about loaning Fernando Torres in January, according to Sunday Mirror.
Andre Villas-Boas believes a loan move could help the Spaniard rediscover his scoring form.
Torres has largely struggled at the start of his career at Stamford Bridge, having scored just one goal since his €57 million move from Liverpool.
The Blues are reluctant to loan the player to another English club, but a return to Spain looks like a viable option.
Villas-Boas doesn’t think Torres is in good enough shape to hold on to the starting place at Stamford Bridge, and he believes that leaving him on the bench would also have a detrimental effect.
The Portuguese coach, therefore, wants to farm the Spain international out on loan, hoping that a six-month spell would help him rediscover his form.
Free-spending Malaga and Torres’ former club Atletico Madrid are thought to be keen on the 27-year-old.
