London Evening Standard is reporting that Premier League giants Chelsea are hot on the trail of Benfica forward Talisca.
The Blues sent scouts to make a check on the highly rated footballer in the Champions League clash against Monaco, where the Brazilian scored the only goal of the game.
Chelsea have watched the 20-year-old in action on several occasions this term and with Jose Mourinho confirming interest in the player in the summer, a January bid for his services could be on the cards.
With Didier Drogba likely to leave when his contract expires in the summer, the Blues aim to sign another quality forward and it appears they have made Talisca their number one target.
The Brazilian has had a brilliant start to his career at Benfica, scoring 8 goals in 9 league matches, while also opening his Champions League account.
The Eagles face Nacional on the road this weekend and they are 3/5 to claim maximum points.
