Chelsea preparing bid for Josko Gvardiol

Chelsea are interested in signing Josko Gvardiol from RB Leipzig in the January transfer window, according to Fichajes. The report in the Spanish news outlet has claimed that the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners wanted to secure the 20-year-old in the summer of 2022 and remain keen on the young central defender.

German club RB Leipzig will not sell Gvardiol for anything less than €100 million. The 20-year-old is doing extremely well for Croatia at the 2022 Qatar World Cup and has attracted interest from Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur among other clubs as well.

Gvardiol has made eight starts and five substitute appearances in the Bundesliga for RB Leipzig so far this season. The defender has also scored one goal in four UEFA Champions League games for the German club this campaign, and has played four times for Croatia at the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
