Chelsea are willing to pay €100 million to sign Matthijs de Ligt from Juventus in the summer transfer window, according to 90min. The report has claimed that former Italian and European champions Juventus are willing to sell De Ligt for €100 million, and that Premier League giants Chelsea are willing to pay it.
De Ligt has failed to agree a new deal with Juventus, who are unwilling to meet his wage demands. The defender has decided to leave the Bianconeri, who themselves are open to selling him if they get €100 million in transfer fees. Bayern Munich are interested in the Dutchman, but it is Chelsea who are willing to pay €100 million for 22-year-old.
The defender made 29 starts and two substitute appearances in Serie A for Juventus last season, scoring three goals and providing one assist in the process. De Ligt also played four times in Coppa Italia for Juve last season.
