Chelsea are ready to cash in on Trevoh Chalobah in the middle of the season amid interest from London and Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur, according to Football Insider. Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino does not have Chalobah in his plans, and he is free to leave in the January transfer window. Spurs are planning a move.
Chalobah, who can operate as a central defender or as a defensive midfielder, has been on the books of Chelsea since 2007 and came through the Blues’ youth academy. The Englishman has made 45 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career, scoring three goals, providing one assist and keeping 13 clean sheets in those games.
Chelsea are 10th in the Premier League table at the moment with 16 points from 10 matches, as many as 10 points behind Tottenham Hotspur. Spurs are fourth and are two points behind leaders and defending champions Manchester City.
