Chelsea readying £20 million bid for Cheick Tiote

Chelsea are ready to offer around £20 million for Newcastle midfielder Cheick Tiote, according to Sunday Mirror.

The Blues have reportedly made the Ivory Coast international their number one target and are ready to offer a substantial amount of money for his services.

High-flying Newcastle are not ruling out Tiote departure, but they are adamant the player will not come cheap.

The Blues already tried to sign the 25-year-old last January, before launching another assault in the summer.

They are now eager to make the third and final assault on the combative midfielder, who would add much needed fresh blood to the centre of the park.
